Incredible Short Fan Film ‘Gremlins: Recall’ Used All Practical Puppets!

It’s pretty safe to say that most of you reading this right now are probably hungry for a new Gremlins film, as it’s been 27 years since we last saw those kick-ass mischievous little critters up on the screen.

Despite numerous sequels and reboots being talked about over the years, we don’t seem to be any closer to the franchise continuing.

Not officially, at least.

Written and directed by Ryan Patrick, the just released Gremlins: Recall is an (unofficial) fan film sequel to the original 1984 classic, set years after Joe Dante’s film. The short film imagines what would happen if a company were to medicate and sell Mogwai as high-end pets to the general public. Naturally, things don’t really go well from there.
