Quarantined with Keep Dancing Inc

Can you squeeze out a quick Keep Dancing Inc life story for the uninitiated reader? How did you end up becoming Keep Dancing Inc?

Louis founded the band with a friend called Charles 5 years ago. Joseph joined a year later and we were a three piece for a couple of years.

Gaby was always kind of there because she was a good friend of Louis's but she officially joined the band in 2018.

Charles left the band in late 2019 and now it's just the three of us.

What website do you guys check every day?

Audiofanzine, Reverb, Master-wave : best places to find some vintage music gear, at least in France.

What is the first album you ever bought?

Joseph ; I always have a different answer for that question because I honestly can't remember. I'm feeling American Idiot by Green Day today.

Gaby : I think it was Speakerboxxx/The Love Below by Outkast.

What's been your quarantine booze of choice?

Joseph : None

Louis : Chartreuse

Gaby : Beer

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without on a daily basis?

Joseph ; Hate to say it but my phone

Louis : My underwears

Gaby : My toothbrush

What is your most proudest moment as an artist?

Joseph : Probably when we released our single Could U Stop earlier this year. We got so many great feedbacks from everyone around us and for the first time I felt really proud of releasing a song.

Louis : When we played in Balla Boum Festival in Corsica with Legowelt and Alexis Taylor who both are great inspirations to us.

Gaby : The last day in the recording studio, knowing that we had a really good album on our hands, that will make me proud / happy for the rest of my life.

Have you ever been overly excited about meeting a hero or an icon?

Joseph : I tend to be way more nervous than excited because I'm so ridiculously shy and really awkward on first encounters, especially with people I admirer. It's a bit sad actually.

Gaby : NoT overly excited, but I met Romy from The XX in a bar in Paris, and I was just really happy to thank her for her music.

What is the most rancid thing you have seen whilst playing a gig?

Nothing really, we've always had very nice audiences.

What do you guys have planned for 2020?

Our first album is coming out this October, with a bunch of singles and music videos before.

We also have a gig in Paris on the 28th of October, gonna be excellent, party on.

We don't know much about US TV personalities, but Alex Jones seems quiet fit for the pen of lions.

If we gave you a million dollars and 24 hours to wash it, what would you do?

We would buy a recording studio, a shit load of music gear and then we'd have Banana Peanut Butter Milkshakes from Five Guys with the rest of the money.
